West Ham Agrees Deal For Flamengo Center-back Fabrício Bruno
Fabrício Bruno, the 28-year-old defender from Flamengo, is set to join West Ham in a deal worth £12.5m plus potential add-ons of £2.5m.
This signing would mark the first for West Ham since Julen Lopetegui was appointed as head coach last week.
Fabrício Bruno earned his Brazil debut against England at Wembley in March; however, he was not picked for this summer’s Copa América squad. The center-back has exclusively played for clubs in his homeland and has yet to experience playing abroad.
West Ham is prioritizing the reinforcement of their central defense due to various factors. Kurt Zouma has been troubled by injuries, Nayef Aguerd is eager to depart, Angelo Ogbonna has not received a contract extension offer, and Konstantinos Mavropanos has yet to impress since his move from Stuttgart.
West Ham has been keeping an eye on Wolves captain Maximilian Kilman as a potential target in the center-back position, and they have also been monitoring Hull center-back, Jacob Greaves.
