Bayern Munich Announces Record Revenues As Hainer Secures Third Term
Bayern Munich announced a record annual turnover of €978.3 million (£862 million) for the 2024/25 season, marking a 2.8% increase from the previous year.
The club shared the news during its Annual General Meeting on Sunday. At the same event, Herbert Hainer was re-elected as Bayern’s president for a third three-year term.
The club generated a profit of €27.1 million, down from €43.1 million in 2023/24 and €35.7 million the season before.
”Despite tumultuous times and a transfer market which is reaching new dimensions, we have once again achieved record turnover and posted a solid profit,” said CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen.
”This demonstrates the exceptional strength and substance of our club. We are not volatile, Bayern is stable.”
The defending German champions also announced membership had reached 432,500, the highest in the club’s history and more than that of any other football team.
Hainer was re-elected unopposed, receiving overwhelming support from the club’s voting members.
Under Germany’s ‘50+1 rule’, football clubs must ensure their members hold a controlling stake in the organisation.
The regulation is designed to keep clubs under the control of their fans and prevent external investors from gaining majority influence.
