Nigeria Cruises To AFCON Semi-finals As Lookman Scores Against Angola
Nigeria emerged first country to go into the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) semi-final after beating Angola 1-0 on Friday.
SportXparte reports that the Super Eagles triumphed over Angola in their Quarter-final match today in Cote d’Ivoire, thanks to Ademola Lookman’s lone goal in the 41st minute which propelled Nigeria to an early lead.
The intense match, held at the Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium in Abidjan with a capacity of 33,000, showcased Nigeria’s resilience and skill, solidifying their path towards AFCON glory.
Throughout the battle, four yellow cards were issued, with three going to the Palancas Negras and one to Nigeria.
