Carlo Ancelotti Reportedly Makes Decision About His Future With Real Madrid
Carlo Ancelotti has reportedly decided not to continue his adventure at Real Madrid beyond the 2024-2025 season.
Despite facing criticism from observers in recent years, particularly in recent weeks due to a less-than-desirable style of play, Ancelotti has still achieved notable success with Real Madrid.
Returning in 2021 after a first stint crowned with a Champions League title (2014), the Italian has managed to win two more since then (2022 and 2024).
With Madrid, he has also won two La Liga titles, a Copa del Rey, and a Club World Cup crown.
However, on Monday, Spanish radio station Onda Cero reported that Ancelotti has chosen not to extend his tenure with the Madridistas beyond the end of the 2024-2025 season.
Nevertheless, his current contract is valid until June 2026, raising questions about who might succeed him.
Xabi Alonso, the current Bayer Leverkusen coach, is the hot favourite to replace Ancelotti having played at the Bernabeu and done a fantastic job with the German side.
