Désiré Doué Decides To Join Paris Saint-Germain from Stade Rennes
With the conclusion of the 2024 Summer Olympics, the future of Désiré Doué is expected to be determined shortly.
The Stade Rennais star is attracting interest from several elite European clubs, including Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, and Tottenham Spur.
According to a recent report from Foot Mercato’s Santi Aouna, Bayern Munich has pulled ahead of PSG in the race for Doué, with their offer coming closer to what Rennes is asking for.
Additionally, Florian Plettenberg from Sky Sports Germany has reported that Doué is a top priority for Bayern Munich, as the Bundesliga club is keen to secure the 19-year-old talent this year.
However, according to several sources, including Fabrizio Romano, Sky Germany, and L’Equipe, Doué has opted to join PSG instead.
The latest information comes from journalist Romain Collet-Gaudin who reports that PSG has started preparing the announcement for Doué’s arrival. Furthermore, the reigning Ligue 1 champions want to sign two more players this window after signing the young Frenchman.
Doué had an impressive 2023-24 season, playing in 43 games across all competitions and tallying four goals and six assists for Rennes. Moreover, the teenager won a silver medal during the Olympics as the French national team lost in the final to Spain.
After missing out on Xavi Simons, who has returned to RB Leipzig on loan from PSG, Bayern Munich may now shift their focus to a new one as they look to bolster their attacking options.
