‎West Ham United’s Brazilian midfielder Lucas Paqueta has been cleared of four alleged betting rule breaches after an independent Regulatory Commission hearing.

‎The Football Association announced the decision on Thursday. Last year, the 27-year-old was accused of deliberately seeking to receive a yellow card in four Premier League matches during 2022 and 2023.

‎The FA stated that it was alleged Paqueta attempted to influence the behavior or outcome of those matches by deliberately trying to get booked, to manipulate the betting market for the advantage of others.

‎”Paqueta denied the charges against him, and a Regulatory Commission found them to be not proven following a hearing,” the FA said in a statement.
