Fiorentina Seals Move For Ex-Manchester United David De Gea
Serie A club, Fiorentina has nearly finalized a deal to sign former Manchester United goalkeeper, David De Gea, who will join on a free.
La Viola is considering several options for their goalkeeping position, and it appears that Martin Terracciano will be leaving this summer. The club’s preferred candidate is David De Gea.
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that the move is now very close and the Spaniard will sign a one-year deal with the option for a second.
The goalkeeper, for his part, has not stepped onto the pitch since the 2022/23 season.
This follows De Gea’s decision to turn down offers from several clubs around the world after his contract with Premier League giants Manchester United expired.
Fabrizio has added further details to the situation, revealing that it indeed will be an initial one-year deal with the option for a second. The player has agreed to join the club on a free transfer the second year will be triggered if he plays a certain number of games during the first season.
The goalkeeper will earn €2 million per season plus €1 million in bonuses and the expectation is that the move will go through in the next 48 hours.
