Fulham Submit Fresh Bid For Manchester United’s Scott McTominay
Fulham has reportedly made a third offer of £23 million for Scott McTominay, the Manchester United midfielder.
According to the Manchester Evening News, United had previously declined bids for McTominay, who attracted interest from West Ham United last year.
Galatasaray has also shown interest in the 27-year-old amid swirling speculation about his future at United. Last year, United set McTominay’s value at £40 million and rejected a £30 million proposal from West Ham.
United is willing to consider offers ranging from £25 million to £30 million, despite the fact that McTominay scored ten goals last season and played in the FA Cup final victory against Manchester City.
Fenerbahce, now under the management of Jose Mourinho, is interested in McTominay but needs to prepare to meet United’s asking price.
Notably, McTominay made his debut for United under Mourinho in May 2017.
Club officials have emphasized that McTominay is a valuable squad member, and manager Erik ten Hag has indicated a desire to retain the Scotland international.
With McTominay’s contract expiring next year, and although United has the option for an additional year, there’s still a chance his resale value could reach its current level.
Realistically, United does not anticipate receiving a fee close to the £40 million they sought for McTominay last year.
The academy graduate remained at United the previous season because fellow midfielder Kobbie Mainoo suffered an ankle injury during pre-season, which kept him out for four months.
