Serie A MD32 Preview: Full Team News & Predictions
The Serie A season enters a decisive phase as clubs at both ends of the table navigate defining fixtures.
Here is a comprehensive breakdown of all the weekend’s key matches.
AC Milan vs Udinese
AC Milan’s limp performance against Napoli last Monday may have ended their faint Scudetto aspirations. A late concession at Stadio Maradona dropped Max Allegri’s side to third in the table and widened the gap to leaders Inter Milan to nine points with seven rounds remaining.
Now, their priority is protecting a Champions League position as Como, Juventus, and Roma apply pressure.
Milan’s form has dipped notably, with three defeats in their last six matches after a remarkable run of 24 games unbeaten. The Rossoneri’s inconsistency has especially surfaced against teams positioned in the bottom half of the table, where they rank only seventh in points collected.
Udinese arrive with renewed confidence after grinding out a disciplined 0-0 draw against red-hot Como. Kosta Runjaic has stabilised the Friulani, who now sit 11th.
And continue to eye a top-half finish after back-to-back relegation scraps in recent seasons. Defensive solidity is their foundation, as they enter this match having conceded only once in their last three fixtures and boasting consecutive clean sheets.
Milan dominates the recent head-to-head record with four straight wins over Udinese and an 11-2 aggregate score. But Udinese’s overall record at San Siro in the last decade remains respectable.
Team News
Milan has a nearly full squad available. Matteo Gabbia returns to fitness and could start. Allegri faces a difficult selection call in attack, with Christian Pulisic, Rafael Leão, Christopher Nkunku, Niclas Füllkrug, and Santiago Giménez all pushing for places.
Pulisic scored twice against Udinese in the reverse fixture but is enduring a league drought stretching 13 games.
Mike Maignan prepares for his 300th top-five league appearance, attempting to keep out the returning Keinan Davis, who has 10 league goals and sits joint-third in the scoring charts. Udinese will also assess Adam Buksa, while Jordan Zemura and Alessandro Zanoli are unavailable.
Prediction: AC Milan 1–1 Udinese
Udinese’s sturdy defensive structure and Milan’s recent stumbles suggest a competitive match. With Davis and Nicolò Zaniolo leading the line, Udinese have enough firepower to claim a valuable point.
Atalanta BC vs Juventus
The race for Champions League football intensifies as two direct rivals collide in Bergamo. Juventus reclaimed momentum with a composed win over Genoa last Monday but remains fifth, trailing fourth-placed Como by a single point.
Luciano Spalletti’s side has improved defensively, going six games unbeaten, yet inconsistency on the road threatens their top-four ambitions.
Atalanta, meanwhile, continues to surge under Raffaele Palladino. Since the start of 2026, the Nerazzurri have collected 31 points, second only to Inter.
Their 3-0 win away to Lecce confirmed their strong form, and they now sit on the edge of the European places. At home, Palladino’s men are formidable, although their historical record against Juventus remains poor, with only one win in their last 20 Bergamo encounters.
Recent meetings have been tight, with six of the last eight league matches between these clubs ending in draws. This fixture is therefore delicately poised, with both sides desperate to avoid dropping points in a congested chase for the top four.
Team News
Juventus must cope without Weston McKennie through suspension and without Dusan Vlahović, who is sidelined with a calf issue. Michele Di Gregorio takes over in goal after Mattia Perin’s injury.
Up front, Jonathan David or Kenan Yildirim could lead the line.
Atalanta expect to have both Gianluca Scamacca and top scorer Nikola Krstović available, while Isak Hien is their only confirmed absentee. Giacomo Raspadori, with four career goals against Juventus, is pushing for a starting role.
Prediction: Atalanta BC 2–1 Juventus
Atalanta’s impressive home form contrasts sharply with Juventus’ inconsistent away displays.
Torino vs Hellas Verona
Two of Serie A’s most porous defences meet in Turin, where Torino host a Verona side desperate for survival. The Granata ended a five-game winless away run thanks to Che Adams’ decisive finish against Pisa.
At home, they have been far more reliable, winning three of their last four league matches and scoring freely.
Verona’s situation is dire. Nine points from safety with seven games remaining, Paolo Sammarco’s side have lost three straight matches without scoring.
Their attack continues to misfire, with only seven league goals for top scorer Gift Orban and a collective total of just 22 goals all season. They have not won in Turin for 14 years.
But the defensive fragility of both sides suggests an unpredictable match, but Torino’s superior attacking options and stronger home record give them a clear advantage.
Team News
Torino remains without Duván Zapata and Zanos Savva. Giovanni Simeone and Che Adams are expected to start, the latter having scored three goals in five appearances.
Verona are without Tomas Suslov through suspension and Suat Serdar through injury. Armel Bella-Kotchap and Sandi Lovrić are doubts.
Prediction: Torino 2–1 Hellas Verona
Verona may finally end their scoring drought, but Torino’s superior firepower and home consistency should hand them a narrow victory.
Parma vs Napoli
Parma have gone five matches without a win, yet remain comfortable in mid-table thanks to earlier victories and the continued struggles of the bottom five. Their lack of urgency reflects their relatively safe position, though their recent performances have dipped considerably.
Napoli, by contrast, remain fully motivated as they chase Inter Milan in the title race. Antonio Conte’s side has won five successive league matches, all by tight margins, showing grit rather than flair.
But Inter’s shaky form earlier this month, Napoli have cut the deficit but still faces an uphill climb to retain their Scudetto crown.
Parma have held Napoli to consecutive goalless draws, but without their top scorer Mateo Pellegrino, and possibly Adrian Bernabé, their attacking threat is diminished.
Team News
Parma misses Pellegrino through suspension and has injuries to Benjamin Cremaschi, Matija Frigan, and Pontus Almqvist. Napoli remain without Romelu Lukaku, David Neres, Giovanni Di Lorenzo, and Amir Rrahmani. Rasmus Højlund is a doubt.
Prediction: Parma 0–2 Napoli
Napoli’s motivation, depth, and form should allow them to overcome a depleted Parma side and maintain pressure at the top.
Como vs Inter Milan
Inter Milan’s emphatic 5-2 win over Roma ended their brief stumble and reasserted their dominance in the Scudetto race. Cristian Chivu’s side remains in control, seven points clear with seven games remaining.
Their recent Coppa Italia draw against Como showed that this opponent poses tactical problems, particularly at Stadio Sinigaglia.
Como is enjoying a historic season under Cesc Fàbregas, sitting fourth and fighting off Roma, Juventus, and Atalanta for a Champions League spot. Their five-game winning run was halted by Udinese but the Lariani remain a formidable force at home.
Lautaro Martínez’s injury is a significant blow for Inter, whose win rate drops dramatically without him. Como scored 10 goals across their last three home matches and possesses the technical quality to challenge the champions-elect.
Team News
Inter are without Martínez, Yann Bisseck, and possibly Alessandro Bastoni. Carlos Augusto may return. Como hopes to welcome back Jesús Rodríguez and Jacobo Ramón. Jayden Addai is unavailable.
Prediction: Como 2–2 Inter Milan
With Lautaro out and Como in excellent home form, the hosts have a strong chance of taking something from the match. An open, high-tempo draw looks likely.
