Lamine Yamal Sparks Nico Williams To Barcelona Rumours After Agent Meets Deco

‎Nico Williams’s agent, Felix Tainta, reportedly met with Barcelona director Deco to discuss the forward’s future.

‎‎Barcelona was keen to sign Nico last summer but ultimately signed Dani Olmo instead, and it’s believed they have since lost interest in the Athletic Club star.

‎And no sooner had the news broken than Lamine Yamal was posting a picture of the pair on Instagram to get the rumor mill even more excited about a possible summer transfer.

‎Nico has strong relationships with Yamal and other Spanish stars at Barcelona, which is one reason why this rumor continues to persist.

‎This summer, Williams has attracted interest from Arsenal and Bayern Munich, while Athletic Club is keen to renew his contract.

‎His agent, Felix Tainta, reportedly met with Barcelona director Deco for an hour and a half to gauge whether the Catalan club still has any interest, according to Sport.

‎Nico would rather stay in Spain if he does move on, and has many good friends at Barcelona, which seems to be the reason why his agent wanted to talk to Deco.

‎There is currently no indication that Barcelona are planning to rekindle their interest, as earlier reports indicated the Catalans were unhappy that Williams turned down their offers last summer.

‎Barcelona does aim to acquire another forward this summer, with Luis Diaz being their primary target.

‎However, a transfer appears unlikely due to the club’s financial limitations.
