‎Liverpool has entered negotiations with Frankfurt over Hugo Ekitike in a fast-moving transfer deal this summer.

‎The club is focusing on signing Ekitike after Newcastle United made it clear that Alexander Isak is not for sale. Newcastle’s initial bid of £65 million for Isak was rejected, and the player is now reportedly interested in a move to Liverpool.

Liverpool is willing to match Frankfurt’s asking price for Ekitike as the deal progresses quickly.

‎This is according to journalist David Ornstein who reports that Ekitike wants to join Liverpool this summer as Newcastle watch on.

‎The Frenchman scored 22 goals in 48 appearances last season for Frankfurt, helping them qualify for the Champions League. He is considered one of the best young strikers in the world today.
