Liverpool Rejects Bayern Munich’s Latest Offer For Luis Díaz
Bayern Munich reportedly submitted an official bid to sign Liverpool winger, Luis Diaz, but it was immediately rejected.
Two weeks ago, Bayern’s director of sport, Max Eberl, was informed that Liverpool has no intention of selling Diaz. The Premier League champions remains firm in their stance, refusing to enter into discussions for the attacker.
Bayern’s bid was rejected and the deal seemed to be off between the two sides.
However, the Bundesliga champions have submitted a proposal worth €67.5 million on Tuesday morning, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, who reports that the Reds took no time in turning the offer down.
“Liverpool have received €67.5m official bid from FC Bayern for Luis Diaz this week.
“The club has rejected the proposal, it was turned down after #LFC already closed doors to approaches in June as @TheAthleticFC
“Luis Diaz, open to summer exit with both Bayern & Barca keen.”
Liverpool remain adamant that Colombian international Luis Diaz is not for sale this summer, and their recent rejection underscores that stance.
The club’s resistance is understandable, especially in the wake of the tragic loss of Diogo Jota, which likely makes them hesitant to part with a player in a similar position.
Additionally, manager Arne Slot may be eager to keep his attacking options intact for the foreseeable future.
The Liverpool board has supported manager Arne Slot following his successful first season, which saw him secure the Premier League title and bring in players like Florian Wirtz, Milos Kerkez, and Jeremie Frimpong.
Despite these significant signings, Slot is reluctant to let go of a high-caliber player like Diaz before another title challenge.
It appears that the 28-year-old is expected to remain at the club, even if he is open to leaving.
