Man United Eyes Italian Serie A Star, Federico Chiesa
Manchester United is said to have shifted their focus towards the Italian market with 26-year-old Federico Chiesa in mind.
Chiesa, who will be out of contract in Turin in just 18 months, has become an increasingly viable target.
Juventus, keen to avoid losing their valuable players for free, may reach a deal with United once the summer transfer window opens.
Reports suggest that United not only see Chiesa as a player who can contribute to their pursuit of silverware but is also willing to meet Juventus’ asking price of £43 million (€50 million).
However, it’s worth noting that Newcastle United, managed by Eddie Howe, have also shown interest in the former Fiorentina starlet.
Like United, Newcastle is looking to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season and may consider upgrading their options on the right-wing, as Miguel Almiron may not possess the required quality to lead the fallen giants back to the top.
Ultimately, unless Juventus can secure a contract extension, they will be compelled to sell their Italian European Championship winner of 2021.
