‎Manchester United have intensified their pursuit of Bryan Mbeumo by submitting an improved offer to Brentford for the Cameroon international.

‎The new bid is valued at £65 million plus an additional £5 million in potential add-ons and is currently awaiting a response from the London-based club.

‎The Athletic reported last month that Mbeumo had informed Brentford and Tottenham Hotspur of his decision to sign for Manchester United if he makes a transfer this summer.

‎Manchester United had an initial offer of £45 million plus £10 million in add-ons for Bryan Mbeumo rejected by Brentford, followed by a second bid of £55 million with £7.5 million in bonuses, which was also turned down.

‎Brentford are holding out for a fee higher than the £62.5 million United paid Wolverhampton Wanderers for Matheus Cunha earlier this summer.

‎Negotiations are ongoing as United seeks a compromise, with The Athletic first reporting on June 2 that Mbeumo is keen on a move to Old Trafford.

‎The 25-year-old is entering the final year of his contract at Brentford, who do have the option to extend his terms by a further 12 months.

‎Admiration for Mbeumo at Spurs also increased after Thomas Frank moved from Brentford to become their new head coach.

‎But he notified Tottenham and Brentford that should he depart the Gtech Community Stadium now, it will be for Old Trafford.
