Manchester United Confirms 2025 Pre-Season Tour Plans
Manchester United will be returning to the United States for their pre-season tour for the third consecutive year in 2025, participating in the Premier League Summer Series during July and August.
The pre-season program hopes to deliver Premier League football to a U.S. audience by pitting the division’s sides against each other on American soil in an informal competition.
United, which has previously played against prominent teams such as Real Madrid and Barcelona in significant pre-season matches in the United States, will be competing in more routine fixtures this time.
West Ham United (26 July), Bournemouth (30 July), and Everton (3 August) are the opposition in huge NFL stadiums in New Jersey, Chicago, and Atlanta, respectively.
“The weeks leading up to a new Premier League season is always an exciting time for United players and fans alike, and we enjoy spending that period in the US, taking advantage of world-class training facilities and stadiums, and engaging with fans,” technical director Jason Wilcox said.
“Playing other teams from the Premier League provides the players with an opportunity to gain valuable playing time against top opposition, and for our passionate fans to see the action live at three of the most iconic stadiums in North America.”
The 2025/26 Premier League season is scheduled to begin on 16 August.
The competition among major European leagues to connect with the vast North American market is ongoing, as Serie A has recently announced its intention to hold a competitive league match in the United States.
La Liga had hoped to play the December clash between Barcelona and Atletico Madrid in Miami until plans were shelved at only a few weeks’ notice.
