Manchester United Issues Indefinite Ban To Fan Involved In Old Trafford Assault

‎Manchester United has imposed an indefinite ban on a supporter who assaulted Frank Ilet.

‎Ilet has gained significant social media attention over the past year as the Manchester United fan who has not cut his hair until the club goes on a five-game winning streak.

‎However, a fellow Man United fan took issue with Ilet’s stunt during the Red Devils’ 2-1 victory over Chelsea at Old Trafford last month.

A video circulating on social media a day after the match shows the supporter behind Ilet grabbing and violently shaking him by the hair in the concourse

According to Mail Online, the fan has since been identified and banned from the Theatre of Dreams for an indefinite period

‎Ilet has received a flood of messages of support after the footage went viral and reiterated that he has no plans to abandon his hair-until-five-wins pledge.

‎Speaking to the Manchester Evening News after the incident, he said, “It was always and always will be to spread humour and positivity to United fans in a difficult time.

‎“I have, of course, been a Manchester United fan my entire life and my intention with this challenge was never to highlight Manchester United’s flaws.”

‎Ilet began the challenge when the Red Devils were struggling to put wins together under previous manager Erik ten Hag, though things have not improved since Ruben Amorim was appointed.

‎The furthest Ilet has come to shaving his head was in late January, when United achieved a three-game winning run across all competitions, but they fell short of the target after a home defeat to Crystal Palace.

‎Since then, the Red Devils’ longest streak has been two games. They are on that run again after beating Liverpool last weekend, marking back-to-back Premier League wins for the first time under Amorim.

‎Man United welcome Brighton to Old Trafford on Saturday hoping to make it three wins in a row, and move Ilet one step closer to a long overdue haircut.
