Mohamed Salah moved clear of Arsenal legend Thierry Henry in the Premier League scoring charts when he netted in Liverpool’s 4-1 win over Ipswich Town.

Salah scored the second goal in Saturday’s easy victory, bringing his total Premier League goals to an impressive 176 in 285 appearances, achieved during his time with both Liverpool and his previous club, Chelsea.

The goal sees him move seventh in the league’s all-time scoring charts and bumps Salah above Henry, who ended his stay in the English top flight with 175 goals from 258 games.

Salah will hope to climb even higher this season, with the 177 goals scored by former Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard next in his sights.

Sergio Aguero (184) and Andy Cole (187) would both appear to be in danger of losing their spots in the standings, with Salah in some of the best goalscoring form of his career this season.

The strike against Ipswich marked Salah’s 100th Premier League goal at Anfield. Since the inception of the competition in 1992, no player has approached the century mark for home goals with Liverpool, with Robbie Fowler being the nearest contender at 85.
