Newcastle Considers Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson As Isak Replacement Amid Liverpool Transfer Rumors

‎Newcastle United are facing another setback in the transfer window, with no clear route back for Alexander Isak.

‎Nicolas Jackson is emerging as a potential signing, seen by club sources as a direct replacement for Isak. Isak is pressing to join Liverpool in what could be a British record transfer.

‎It marks another turbulent twist in what is becoming a deeply frustrating summer on Tyneside.

‎Newcastle have already missed a string of top targets, the latest being Benjamin Sesko, who has completed a move to Manchester United.

‎But the Isak situation is now looming large. The Swedish striker has seen relations within the club deteriorate significantly, with tensions surfacing in recent weeks.

‎Isak was even told to stay away from a club family barbecue amid the fallout.

‎While Liverpool has been tracking his situation closely and has personal terms in place for a move, Newcastle has insisted it will not allow a sale until they have a replacement through the door.

‎That replacement, they believe, could be Jackson.

‎The Magpies are actively exploring a deal for the Chelsea forward, with the intention of an offer worth around £60 million.

‎However, Chelsea are demanding closer to £80 million and are understood to be encouraging rival interest to strengthen their hand. Bayern Munich is one of the teams in the picture.

‎Other Potential Replacements for Isak

‎Nevertheless, Newcastle’s interest is not mere speculation. The club views Jackson as a stylistic fit who could fill the Isak void, potentially enabling the transfer that would move their star striker to Anfield.

‎Jackson isn’t the only option on the radar. Interest in Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins persists, though securing his signature remains challenging.

‎Meanwhile, Newcastle is also tracking Brentford’s Yoane Wissa.

‎Sources suggest that rather than replacing Isak, the club views him as more in line with filling Callum Wilson’s role, after Wilson joined West Ham United.
