Napoli Striker, Osimhen Slams Kvaratskhelia’s Agent With F-Words Over Saudi Move Claims
The Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen, has launched a fiery verbal attack on the agent of his teammate, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Mamuka Jugeli, over suggestions that Kvaratskhelia could be lured away to Saudi Arabia by the prospect of big money.
The Super Eagles forward took to social media to express his strong disapproval of Jugeli’s comments, using profanity to denounce the agent’s alleged interest in a Saudi move for Kvaratskhelia.
Jugeli was said to have previously mentioned in an interview that “Saudi Arabia is an option” for Kvaratskhelia, highlighting the financial potential of a move to the oil-rich nation’s league.
Both Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia are key players for Napoli, currently enjoying a strong Serie A campaign.
Their on-field partnership has been crucial to the team’s success, which likely fueled Osimhen’s protective reaction towards his teammate.
This public spat within the Napoli ranks could cast a shadow over the team’s morale and cohesion, especially if speculation around Kvaratskhelia’s future continues.
Sportxparte reports that Victor Osimhen engaged in a prolonged negotiation process with Napoli before ultimately agreeing to a contract extension with the club in the latter part of last year.
This extension ensures that the 25-year-old Nigerian player will remain at Napoli until June 30, 2026, as opposed to the original expiration date of 2025 stated in his initial agreement.
Despite finalizing the contract extension, there continues to be ongoing speculation connecting Osimhen with potential transfers to other clubs, particularly those in the Premier League.
Amidst that, Kvaratskhelia’s agent, Mamuka Jugeli, insisted that Osimhen aims to move to the Saudi Pro League next summer because of money.
Nevertheless, in an official declaration issued by Victor Osimhen, who is presently training with the Nigerian national team, the Super Eagles, in anticipation of the upcoming 2023 AFCON starting on January 13th, the Napoli forward expressed his disdain towards the agent, labelling him as a “shameful individual”.
“Dear Mamuka Jugeli — you are a piece of filth and a disgrace”, Victor Osimhen wrote.
“I’m embarrassed at your sense of reasoning.
“Dumb f*ck! keep my name out of your f*cking mouth.”
