PSG Coach Luis Enrique Suffers Collarbone Break In Cycling Accident

‎Luis Enrique, the PSG coach, broke his collarbone in a cycling accident on Friday and is set to undergo surgery, according to the club.

‎The 55-year-old Spaniard, known for his cycling enthusiasm, previously led PSG to their first Champions League triumph last season. PSG have begun their Ligue 1 title defence with three straight wins.

‎“Following a cycling accident on Friday, Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique was treated by the emergency services and will undergo surgery for a fractured collarbone,” the club said in a statement.

‎“The club expresses its full support and wishes him a swift recovery. Further updates will be shared in due course.”

‎Because of the international break, PSG’s next game is on 14 September at home to Lens, and three days later they host Atalanta to open their Champions League title defence.

‎Ousmane Dembélé limped off the field with an apparent right hamstring injury during France’s World Cup qualifying win over Ukraine. He left the match early due to the issue.
