Southampton has reached an agreement with Arsenal for the permanent transfer of goalkeeper, Aaron Ramsdale for a fee of £ 25 million.

The next step is for the 26-year-old goalkeeper to undergo a medical with the club before completing his move.

Arsenal is set to intensify their pursuit of 23-year-old Espanyol goalkeeper, Joan Garcia.

Ramsdale fell out of favor at Arsenal following the arrival of David Raya from Brentford last summer.

Southampton is aiming to bolster their goalkeeper options before the transfer window closes.

McCarthy, 34 years old has been the starting goalkeeper for the team in their first two league matches this season.
