Tottenham Hotspur In Transfer Talks With Manchester City For Brazilian Winger Savinho

‎Tottenham Hotspur have held discussions with Manchester City about an unlikely move for winger Savinho.

‎A package worth around €50 million (£43.3 million, $58.2 million) is currently being negotiated between the clubs.

‎City are not actively looking to sell Savinho, but he is open to the possibility, and Pep Guardiola tends not to stand in the way of players who want to leave.

‎An agreement has not been reached but work continues as Spurs try to land the 21-year-old in a shock move.

Savinho joined Manchester City from Girona last summer and is contracted with the club until June 2028.

‎The Brazilian winger has scored once in 13 Brazil appearances and found the net three times for City across 48 appearances in the 2024-25 season.

He began his career with Atletico Mineiro, later moving to Troyes, and is part of the City Football Group.

‎He spent 2022-23 on loan at PSV Eindhoven, making eight appearances. In 2023-24 he moved on loan to CFG sister club Girona, helping them to a top-four La Liga finish and their first-ever Champions League qualification, scoring 11 goals that season.

‎Savinho later joined City on a permanent deal, becoming part of CFG’s flagship team last summer.

‎However, Savinho appears open to a move to Tottenham. If Tottenham meet City’s asking price, he could be sold by Manchester City.

‎His future has become a major story to watch, with a sale likely prompting City to make a significant move in the transfer market. That scenario seems almost certain at this stage.
