‎According to reports on Thursday, Tottenham are preparing to sign Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White by activating his £60 million release clause.

‎The BBC stated that the 25-year-old is expected to undergo a medical on Friday as Spurs accelerate their transfer efforts.

‎Gibbs-White had previously been linked with Manchester City after playing a major role in Forest’s seventh-placed finish in the Premier League last season.

‎The English player impressed for Forest in the 2024-25 season, scoring seven goals and assisting ten. His contributions helped the team finish seventh in the Premier League and secure a spot in the Conference League.

‎Over three years at Forest, he has accumulated 18 goals and 28 assists in 118 matches, sometimes serving as captain.

‎Meanwhile, Spurs have secured a £55 million agreement to sign West Ham United’s Mohammed Kudus and have completed the transfer of Japan international defender Kota Takai.

‎Additionally, Mathys Tel and Kevin Danso have joined the club on permanent deals after last season’s loan spells.

‎The team qualified for the Champions League by defeating Manchester United in last season’s Europa League final.

‎His departure is the second major loss for Forest in a matter of days, with Anthony Elanga set to join Newcastle in a £55 million move.

‎Gibbs-White joined Forest from Wolves in 2022 for an initial £25 million that could rise to £42.5 million in add-ons.
