Trabzonspor Agrees Loan Deal With Manchester United For Andre Onana
Turkish side Trabzonspor has reportedly reached a loan agreement with Manchester United for goalkeeper Andre Onana, who is currently out of favor at Old Trafford.
Although the clubs may finalize the deal, the final decision lies with Onana himself, who will need to agree to move to Turkey.
Despite most European leagues having closed their transfer windows, the Turkish Super Lig window remains open until Friday, September 12.
Following the €36 million sale of goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir to Galatasaray, Trabzonspor is now pursuing a move for Andre Onana to fill the gap.
Onana has fallen out of favor after a challenging 2024/25 season and has been overtaken by Altay Bayındır in the pecking order.
Onana made his first appearance of the season in the Carabao Cup, in which he seriously struggled as United fell to a humiliating penalty shootout defeat to Grimsby.
In addition, Manchester United secured the signature of Senne Lammens, Antwerp’s 23-year-old first-choice keeper, for a reported £18.2 million on Deadline Day, further diminishing Andre Onana’s chances of starting.
