Guinea secured their spot in the quarterfinals of the African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast with a decisive 1-0 victory over Equatorial Guinea.

In the dying moments of the game, Mohamed Bayo’s header in the 90+5th minute sealed the win for Guinea.

Despite being the underdogs, Equatorial Guinea had defied expectations by finishing at the top of Group A.

However, their journey came to an end as Guinea, who qualified as one of the best third-place teams in Group C, emerged victorious.
