David de Gea Gets Big Offer From Saudi Arabia, Manchester United Transfer Rumours
According to reports, Saudi Arabian team Al-Shabab is interested in offering former Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea a chance to return to professional football.
SportXparte reports that De Gea is currently a free agent.
The 33-year-old Spanish footballer left United in June after spending 12 years at the club and making 545 appearances.
Despite his impressive performance in his final season at Old Trafford, where he won the Premier League Golden Glove, the club decided not to extend his contract, leading to his departure.
Although previous moves to Real Madrid and Newcastle did not materialize, it is now being reported that De Gea might finally have an opportunity to make a comeback.
According to Daily Mail, Al-Shabab is currently in negotiations with the former Atletico Madrid goalkeeper.
This move is part of Al-Shabab’s efforts to strengthen their team, as they are also pursuing other players such as Sevilla midfielder Ivan Rakitic, Newcastle’s Miguel Almiron, and Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech.
Al-Shabab is currently facing difficulties in the Saudi Pro League, resulting in the dismissal of former Liverpool player Igor Biscan as their coach.
Rumours have circulated that they have held talks with former United manager Jose Mourinho, who is currently without a job after being sacked by AS Roma.

Additionally, Spanish outlet Fichajes has suggested that United is monitoring the situation of Jan Oblak, Atletico Madrid’s number-one goalkeeper and that Atletico might be open to offers for him.
Meanwhile, in spite of acquiring Andre Onana from Inter as a replacement for De Gea during the summer, it is rumoured that Manchester United is interested in recruiting Slovakia international to England.
According to the report, United is optimistic that an offer of approximately £38.5 million could entice Atletico to engage in negotiations.
