Derek Cornelius Completes Marseille Medical Ahead Of Move From Malmo

According to Fabrizio Romano, Derek Cornelius has completed his medical ahead of a move to Marseille from Malmo.

The Canadian international is poised to become the newest signing to the Stadeélodrome following the appointment of Roberto De Zerbi.

According to Fabrice Hawkins, the Malmo defender is expected to with a fee of around €3.5 million for Marseille. Personal terms have already been settled between the Ligue 1 club and Cornelius.

The 26-year-old is now one closer to joining OM after completing his medical examination.

Cornelius is set to sign a contract with Marseille that will run until 2028. While Les Phocéens were not the only Ligue 1 club pursuing the Malmo center-back Brest and Lille also expressed interest but Marseille has ultimately secured his signature.
