Lazio Sets To Finalize Signing Of Dele-Bashiru
Lazio is on the verge of finalizing a deal to sign Hatayspor midfielder, Fisayo Dele -Bashiru.
A Sports Digital journalist, Resat Can Ozbudak, has confirmed that Lazio and Hatayspor have reached an agreement on a transfer fee of €7 million for Dele-Bashiru.
The midfielder is scheduled to have a medical examination at Lazio prior to the signing of his contract.
Dele-Bashiru joined Hatayspor last summer on a free transfer after leaving Sheffield Wednesday.
The 22-year-old player made his debut in competitive matches for Nigeria in a 2026 World Cup qualifier against South Africa just two weeks prior.
Dele-Bashiru’s skill set, which includes the ability to play various positions in midfield, is expected to add significant depth and flexibility to Lazio’s squad.
Meanwhile, two English Premier League rivals, Arsenal and Manchester United, are preparing to face off against Bayern Munich in hopes of signing PSG and Dutch football star, Xavi Simons.
Sportxparte reports that at just 21 years old, Simons is currently participating in the Euro 2024 tournament and has represented the Netherlands in their victory over Poland with a score of 2-1 on Sunday.
L’Equipe reports that Manchester United has reached out to Paris Saint-Germain in their pursuit of Xavi Simons, while both Bayern Munich and Arsenal have also reached out to PSG with the same intention.
There are rumours that PSG is reluctant to allow the player to leave on a permanent deal, as a significant portion of any transfer fee this summer would likely go to PSV.

It is worth noting that Simons came back to PSG in 2023 after activating a reported €6 million buy-back clause in his contract with PSV.
His deal with PSG from PSV reportedly includes a provision that permits PSV to receive most of the proceeds from any future sale before January 2025.
Simons had a standout season with RB Leipzig last year, scoring 10 goals and providing 15 assists across all competitions.
