Liverpool and Portugal Star Diogo Jota Tragically Dies In Road Accident

‎Liverpool forward, Diogo Jota, along with his brother André, has tragically died in a car accident near the municipality of Palacios de Sanabria in Spain, according to local reports.

‎As reported by Marca, the 28-year-old Portuguese striker died last night in the province of Zamora, during the incident.

‎The accident took place on the A-52 motorway near the municipality of Palacios de Sanabria. Diogo Jota was traveling with his brother André, who is 26 years old and also a footballer, when their car veered off the road and caught fire following a collision.

‎Witnesses at the scene promptly contacted emergency services through 112. According to their accounts, the vehicle was completely consumed by flames.

‎Jota, who got married on June 28th, joined Liverpool in 2020 after excelling for fellow Premier League club Wolves and was part of last season’s Premier League-winning squad.

‎The forward started his career in Spain with Atletico Madrid, then had a loan spell at Porto before moving to Wolves, where he contributed to their promotion from the Championship.
