Massimiliano Allegri Signs Deal To Return To AC Milan As Head Coach
This evening, AC Milan announced the appointment of Massimiliano Allegri as the club’s new head coach for the upcoming season.
News of Allegri’s return has been circulating heavily over the past 24 hours, with significant progress made in recent developments.
Reports first surfaced earlier today indicating that Milan had agreed on a deal with the manager.
Then, it was stated by multiple sources that the Italian was in Milano for a meeting with Giorgio Furlani to finalize an agreement over his contract, which is believed to be for the next three years.
Fabrizio Romano has reported that Allegri has signed the deal to return to AC Milan, 11 years after his departure and a year after leaving Juventus.
The meeting, attended by Igli Tare and Allegri’s agent Giovanni Branchini, was successful in finalizing the agreement.
The head coach has now completed all necessary contracts to rejoin the Rossoneri.
Daniele Longo has also confirmed the news, stating that there had been ’48 hours’ of non-stop work, and now, the Rossoneri have their reward, with Allegri re-joining the club.
An agreement has been reached for Allegri and Tare to lead the new era of the Diavolo. His first game back is expected to be in Serie A, as his Coppa Italia ban prevents him from being on the touchline for the preliminary round.
