OGC Nice Agrees Personal Terms With Youssoufa Moukoko From Borussia Dortmund
As reported by L’Équipe and Foot Mercato, OGC Nice has reached an agreement on personal terms with Borussia Dortmund’s Youssoufa Moukoko.
An agreement between the two clubs must now be reached with under a week remaining in the transfer window.
Nice is currently seeking a striker ahead of the transfer window’s closure due to a front-line injury crisis. Terem Moffi is facing a long absence after suffering an ACL injury during pre-season.
Additionally, Jérémie Boga has picked up an injury, joining the long-term sidelined Sofiane Diop. To make matters worse, just before Le Gym’s match against Toulouse FC on Sunday, Gaëtan Laborde sustained a fractured metatarsal, which is expected to keep him out for two to three months.
At least one signing up front is a necessity for Nice, who are also competing in Europe. Moves for free agents such as Memphis Depay, Wissam Ben Yedder, and Yusuf Yazici have all been touted. Moves for the former two players look unlikely, due to the financials of the deal.
However, they might soon secure one of the most promising talents in German football, Moukoko. An agreement has already been established with the German international, who has emerged as a key target for Les Aiglons.
However, there is not yet any agreement between Nice and Borussia Dortmund. All parties are working towards a loan deal that would include the option to make the move permanent at the end of the season.
