PSG Update: Mbappe Finally Breaks The Silence
The French attacker, Kylian Mbappe, confirmed that he and Al Khelaïfi had an agreement when he spoke before the media following France’s Super Cup victory over Toulouse.
Kylian Mbappe answered questions from the media in the mixed area of Parc des Princes following the fifth French Super Cup victory with PSG.
The French striker declared that he had not made a decision and that he and PSG president Nasser Al Khelaïfi had come to an understanding whereby neither party would suffer if he did ultimately decide to leave the Parisian powerhouses.
He also said that he hasn’t decided yet, however, all sides are covered by an agreement we have with the president. My plans go beyond my immediate future.
He also said that he has to focus on the team bringing up the deal he made with Al Khelaïfi in the summer, when he forfeited bonuses to protect PSG’s finances in the event that he leaves on a free transfer in the summer.
The French team captain later gave an assurance that if he is certain about what needs to be done with respect to future planning, he will not delay his choice.
“I didn’t know what I had decided in 2022 until May. I shouldn’t wait to make a decision if I understand what I would like to accomplish and that it wouldn’t make sense,” Mbappe said.
He made it known that nobody talks about his situation in the club, and also nobody finds it interesting. The PSG forward scored the second goal of a 2-0 victory to give the Parisians a firm lead and proved to be one of the game’s most notable performers in the Super Cup versus Toulouse.
