Ronaldo Extends Generosity: Provides Additional Pay To Staff At Formerly Denounced Media Outlet
As widely recognized, Cristiano Ronaldo’s prowess extends beyond the soccer field; his business acumen and numerous ventures with various brands have consistently kept him in the spotlight.
Recently, he joined forces with a Brazilian construction company for a holiday skyscraper project, showcasing his diverse interests. Now, Ronaldo is venturing into the media realm.
Apart from his involvement in businesses ranging from water, hair grafts, watches, fashion, and hotels to sports centres, the media has become a new focus for the Portuguese star. Through the group of investors he is part of, Expresso Livre, Ronaldo has acquired Cofina Media, a company overseeing Portuguese national newspapers such as Correio da Manha, Record, and Jornal de Negocios.
What adds intrigue to the situation is that the former Manchester United player had previous conflicts with a television channel and a newspaper belonging to the same editorial group. Specifically, he took legal action and initiated a boycott against them. The Al-Nassr player disagreed with the information published by the mentioned newspaper, asserting that it created a negative atmosphere within the national team since he began playing for them.
These issues led to legal disputes in both 2011 and 2015. In 2014, Ronaldo expressed his lack of respect for the newspaper, accusing it of consistently fabricating news and controversies and fostering a detrimental environment within the national team. One notable incident occurred during the Euro 2016 training camp when Ronaldo took a journalist’s microphone and tossed it into a lake amid a walk in the park with the Portuguese national team.
Despite this history, it appears that Cristiano Ronaldo has opted for a fresh start. On November 8, he expressed gratitude to the workers for their efforts and rewarded them with an additional payment of 1,250 euros.
