Transfer: Bayern Munich Eyes Kylian Mbappe Reunion As Manager Praises PSG Superstar
Thomas Tuchel has expressed enthusiasm about the possibility of reuniting with Paris Saint-Germain’s star, Kylian Mbappe, at Bayern Munich in the upcoming season. With Mbappe yet to finalize a new contract with PSG, it is anticipated that he may depart the Ligue 1 club as a free agent next summer.
While Real Madrid has been a frequently suggested destination, Tuchel, Mbappe’s former coach at PSG, playfully indicated his readiness to convince the forward to consider joining Bayern.
In an interview with Canal+, the Bayern manager remarked that if Mbappe becomes a free agent next year, he would welcome him to Bayern Munich. Tuchel emphasized their positive past relationship, describing Mbappe as very intelligent. He lightheartedly stated that if Mbappe expresses a desire to join Bayern, he is willing to personally go and secure the deal, implying that when Mbappe sets his sights on something, he usually achieves it.
Despite Real Madrid previously being considered the frontrunners for Mbappe, recent reports from CadenaSER suggest that the Spanish club has decided to withdraw from pursuing the World Cup winner, potentially opening the door for Bayern.
The 24-year-old forward is gearing up to represent the French national team in a Euro 2024 qualifying match against Gibraltar on November 18.
