Alex Iwobi, Bassey Resume Training At Fulham Days After AFCON Final

Fulham Football Club has confirmed that their Nigerian pair, Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey, have returned to training with the team.

Recall that Iwobi and Bassey recently represented Nigeria in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d’Ivoire.

The duo, however, were spotted in training on Thursday.

The club welcomed them back with a brief message, stating, “Our Super Eagles are back.”

The last time these two players were in action for Fulham was during their match against Arsenal on December 31.

Calvin Bassey

Both Iwobi and Bassey played crucial roles in Nigeria’s journey to the finals of the AFCON, where they secured a second-place finish.

Throughout the competition, they featured in all seven games for the Super Eagles. Fulham is set to face Aston Villa in a Premier League encounter on Saturday.
