Several Arrested In Paris Following PSG’s Champions League Win Over Arsenal

‎French police arrested 43 people in Paris following PSG’s victory over Arsenal.

‎Three other individuals were injured when a car hit them amid the celebrations. The match ended with PSG winning 2-1 and securing a spot in the Champions League final.

‎Rowdy celebrations erupted in the city as fans cheered the team’s first-ever chance at the prestigious title.

‎Three people were injured when a car crashed into them near the capital’s iconic Champs-Elysees avenue as PSG fans celebrated, police said, adding the “circumstances… remain unclear at this stage”.

‎One of those injured was in critical condition, they said.

‎Videos shared on social media showed that the car was later set on fire.

‎AFP journalists observed two burned-out vehicles near the Champs-Elysées. During the match, large crowds of ticketless fans gathered outside the Parc des Princes stadium.

‎Police stepped in to restore traffic flow after the celebrations became loud and tumultuous, but they reported “no major incidents” outside the stadium.
