Stop Mbappe, Messi, Ronaldo Comparison – Griezmann Tells Football Fans
Antoine Griezmann, a French forward, has emphasized to soccer enthusiasts that Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, and Kylian Mbappe are distinct players.
The Atletico Madrid player mentioned that each of them has their journey in their careers that the consistent comparison is meaningless.
Griezmann and Mbappe were instrumental in France’s strong beginning to their Euro 2024 tournament, defeating Austria with a score of 1-0.
However, the game took a sad turn when Mbappe, a key player in France’s strong beginning to their Euro 2024 tournament, had to leave the field in the 90th minute following a severe clash with Kevin Danso.
This clash resulted in a broken nose. This injury could potentially have significant implications for the tournament.
In an interview featured on BFM RMC Sport, Griezmann shared his views on the discussions that have been made about the similarities between Mbappe, Messi, and Ronaldo.
“Kylian is making his career, his path. We have to separate the two, stop comparing one to the other. Even with Leo (Messi) or another player. Everyone writes their story,” Antoine Griezmann said during the interview.
Mbappe Returns To Training
Meanwhile, Mbappe got back into training with the French national team on Wednesday, just a few days after fracturing his nose in France’s opening game of the Euro 2024 tournament against Austria.
The 25-year-old forward was spotted wearing a protective bandage during the session.
At first, he was training by himself, but it’s unclear if he’ll be playing in France’s next game against the Netherlands in Leipzig on Friday.
The French Football Federation (FFF) promised to update the public on Mbappe’s condition later in the day on Wednesday.
Sportxparte reports that Mbappe got hurt when he collided with the Austrian defender Kevin Danso’s shoulder while going for a shot.
After the collision, he was taken off the field and confirmed to have a fracture at a hospital in Dusseldorf before he got back with his team at the training camp.
Protective Mask For Mbappe
To help him heal, the FFF decided to make a protective mask for Mbappe.
During the game against Austria, Mbappe was given a caution for going back onto the field and sitting down, which paused the game for a moment.
Kevin Danso, the 25-year-old defender from Austria, apologized on social media platform X after the match and wished Mbappe a speedy recovery.
