Official: Real Madrid Sets €1bn Revenue Record
Real Madrid has made history by becoming the first football club to surpass €1 billion in revenue in a single season.
During an exceptional 2023-24 campaign, Los Blancos clinched both La Liga and the Champions League, resulting in the highest revenue ever recorded in football.
Real Madrid posted an official statement that read: “Real Madrid become the first football club to exceed €1bn in revenue.
“Revenue for the 2023-24 season, excluding player transfers, reached €1.073bn, 27% more than the previous year.
“Real Madrid made a profit of €16 million in the 2023-24 year. The club maintains a solid financial situation with a net worth of €574m.”
The Spanish giants comfortably secured the league title last year, finishing the season with a 10-point lead over their closest rivals, Barcelona.
Jude Bellingham was a key player during his debut season at the Santiago Bernabeu, while Carlo Ancelotti was able to extract top performances from experienced stars Toni Kroos, Dani Carvajal, and Nacho Fernandez.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid’s basketball team clinched the League, King’s Cup, and Spanish Super Cup titles, and they also reached the finals of the Euro league.
Real Madrid’s summer transfer business
This summer, Real Madrid has already finalized the signings of Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain (on a free transfer) and Endrick from Palmeiras for €47.5 million.
In addition, they have also been linked with Liverpool defender, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Bayern Munich star, Alphonso Davies as Ancelotti looks to bolster his backline.
However, their attempt to sign Leny Yoro fell short, as the French center-back finalized a move to Manchester United last week.
Real Madrid has three pre-season friendlies lined up, as Los Blancos are scheduled to take on AC Milan, Barcelona, and Chelsea in the USA. Following these matches, they will face Atalanta in the UEFA Super Cup before kickstarting their La Liga campaign against Mallorca.
