Barcelona, Real Madrid, And Atletico Madrid Discover Their 2024/25 Copa del Rey Semi-Final Opponents
Barcelona will take on Atletico Madrid while Real Madrid go up against Real Sociedad across the two-legged Copa del Rey semi-finals.
Hansi Flick’s prolific Catalan side delivered an emphatic performance, overwhelming Valencia with a stunning 5-0 victory in the quarter-finals.
Meanwhile, Atlético Madrid demonstrated their attacking qualities, also netting five goals in a dominant display against Getafe.
Real Madrid faced a tougher challenge against Leganés, narrowly advancing with a dramatic stoppage-time winner from Gonzalo García. Rounding out the quarter-final lineup, Real Sociedad secured their place with a solid 2-0 win over Osasuna, demonstrating their consistency and determination.
The draw ensures that there could be a Clasico or Madrid derby in the final although Real Sociedad, who have been to one Copa del Rey final in the last 37 years, will have something to say about that.
