José Mourinho Reveals He Is Ready For Managerial Return
Former Real Madrid &Chelsea manager, José Mourinho, known for his tactics & winning trophies, is ready for a return to the dugout. Despite his departure from AS Roma earlier this year, Mourinho has expressed his eagerness to return to management, hinting at a potential comeback next summer.
In an interview with Fabrizio Romano, Mourinho confidently stated, “I’m ready to start again. I don’t need to rest or think as usually happens – I’m ready. I feel strong and good, I’m ready, but I don’t want to make the wrong choice. I have to be patient. My objective is to start again next summer.”
Reflecting on missed opportunities, Mourinho disclosed, “I had the door open to be Portugal coach twice. First time when I was at Real Madrid but Florentino told me: no chance. The second time was at Roma, I was sacked a few months later but I don’t regret that because I’m happy with the reason.”
Mourinho’s desire to focus solely on coaching is evident in his words: “I’m always going to be more than a coach. In some clubs, you’re the coach, in other clubs, you have to be a coach, technical director, communication director, & image guy defending the club and players… I want to be a coach. I was the coach at Inter, at Real Madrid, at Chelsea, at Porto. In some other clubs, I wasn’t the coach.”
With speculations surrounding potential destinations ranging from Portugal to a sensational return to former clubs like Chelsea & Manchester United, Mourinho’s next move remains a subject of interest. Despite recent challenges, including his departure from Roma following the Europa Conference League triumph, Mourinho’s track record & hunger for success make him a sought-after figure in the football world.
There’s no doubt clubs will be lining up for his signature, with the question being which project ignites his fire once again.
