French midfielder, Eduardo Camavinga, has joined Real Madrid’s growing injury list after injuring his thigh in Wednesday’s 2-0 Champions League defeat to Liverpool.

“The player has been diagnosed with a muscular injury in the biceps femoris of his left leg. His progress will be monitored,” Real Madrid said in a statement without revealing the length of his absence.

As per reports from the Spanish press, Camavinga, who previously suffered a knee injury last September, is anticipated to be out of action for approximately two to three weeks.

Camavinga came off in the 56th minute with the same injury which has kept teammate Vinicius Junior out of action for several weeks.

Madrid has several players sidelined with long-term injuries, including Dani Carvajal and Eder Militao, both of whom are dealing with serious knee issues.

According to several Spanish media reports, Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham, and Brahim Diaz also finished the match in pain and will undergo medical tests on Friday.

Champions League holders Real have lost three of their five matches and currently sit in 24th place with six points, which is the last qualifying position for the knockout stage.
