Full List: 358 Athletes To Represent Nigeria At 13th African Games In Ghana
The Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Olympics Committee (NOC), Tony Nezianya, has announced that Nigeria will be sending a total of 358 athletes to participate in 25 different sports at the 13th African Games in Ghana.
Nezianya announced this in a statement released on Monday in Lagos, Nigeria.
Sportxparte reports that the 13th African Games are scheduled to take place from March 8 to 23 in Accra, Kumasi, and Cape Coast.
“Nigeria is competing in 25 sports at the event. Nigerian athletes were accredited at the Delegation Registration Meeting conducted on March 4,” Nezianyaannounced on Monday.
Based on the breakdown, Team Taekwondo, Wrestling, and Karate each consist of 14 athletes, whereas Arm Wrestling has a total of 15 participants.
The teams for Weightlifting and Badminton both comprise 12 members, while Boxing has 11 pugilists, judo 10, and Scrabble eight members.
