Guinea-Bissau Vs Nigeria: Super Eagles Line Up Revealed As Osimhen, Simon Lead Attack
The Super Eagles of Nigeria will play their final Group A match today against Guinea-Bissau at the ongoing 2023 AFCON tournament in Cote d’Ivoire
Victor Osimhen, Moses Simon and Samuel Chukwueze will all start at the front today as Nigeria take of Guinea-Bissau in the African Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Based on the starting eleven supposedly released by Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro, Kenneth Omeruo will grab the captain band for Nigeria as William Troost-Ekong, the team’s main captain, was ruled out of the clash over a reported hamstring injury.
Peseiro also named Bright Osayi and Joe Aribo in the starting line-up for the first time in the tournament, Sportxparte understands.
For the third consecutive AFCON game, Stanley Nwabali will be the goalkeeper for Nigeria as Uzoho is sidelined.
The coach has also kept faith with the 3-4-3 formation, with Osayi Samuel and Ola Aina playing as the wing-backs.
On the triangle defence line system, Peseiro fixed Omeruo, Semi Ajayi and Fulham’s Calvin Bassey.
Southampton star, Aribo, is stationed to be the playmaker in front of Frank Onyeka.
