on

The Serie A title race remains mathematically alive for at least another week after Napoli delivered a dominant performance. While Inter Milan stumbled at a crucial moment.

‎Napoli Delay the Inevitable With Dominant Display

‎Napoli ensured that the title celebrations of Inter Milan would be postponed after a commanding 4–0 victory over Cremonese.

‎Antonio Conte’s side were in complete control from the outset. Scott McTominay opened the scoring early, calmly finishing after collecting a precise pass from Kevin De Bruyne.

‎Napoli doubled their advantage just before half-time when a deflected effort from Rasmus Højlund resulted in an unfortunate own goal by Filippo Terracciano.

‎The hosts effectively killed the contest in first-half stoppage time. With McTominay showing excellent awareness to keep the ball alive before setting up De Bruyne, who fired home clinically.

‎Alisson Santos added a fourth shortly after the break, capping a superb solo run with a composed finish.

‎Despite the emphatic result, Napoli remain second with 69 points, still trailing Inter by a significant margin.

Inter Held by Torino After Letting Lead Slip

‎Inter had the opportunity to move within touching distance of the title but were forced to settle for a frustrating 2–2 draw against Torino.

‎Marcus Thuram gave Inter the lead in the 23rd minute, heading home from Federico Dimarco’s pinpoint delivery. Dimarco continued his remarkable creative season by registering his 17th assist setting a new Serie A record.

‎Inter doubled their lead in the second half when Yann Bisseck headed in from another Dimarco set-piece. At 2–0, the game appeared effectively over. But Torino mounted a spirited comeback.

‎Giovanni Simeone pulled one back with a moment of individual brilliance, combining clever movement and a delicate finish.

‎The equaliser came from the penalty spot, as Nikola Vlašić converted after a handball by Carlos Augusto.

‎The result leaves Inter on 79 points, ten ahead of Napoli. With four rounds remaining still firmly in control but denied the chance to edge closer to a mathematical title confirmation.

‎AS Roma boosted their hopes with a 2–0 away win over Bologna. Goals from Donyell Malen and Neil El Aynaoui moved Roma within two points of the top four.

‎Como also strengthened their position with a 2–0 victory against Genoa, courtesy of headed goals from Tasos Douvikas and Assane Diao.

‎With Juventus and AC Milan also in the mix, the race for the final Champions League spot remains finely balanced. Juventus currently occupies fourth place with 64 points, narrowly ahead of both Roma and Como.

‎The stalemate reflects the cautious approach from both sides, who remain on course for Champions League qualification but are under increasing pressure from chasing teams.

‎Milan sits third with 67 points, while Juventus holds fourth, just three points clear of the chasing pack.

Relegation Battle Remains Wide Open

‎At the bottom of the table, the tension continues to build. Lecce edged out of the relegation zone following a 0–0 draw with Hellas Verona.

‎Although the result did little to improve either side’s long-term prospects.

‎Verona thought they had secured a crucial late victory, only for VAR to intervene and rule out a stoppage-time winner. The decision leaves them ten points from safety.

‎While Lecce hover just above the drop zone by a single point, level with Cremonese on 28.

‎Elsewhere, Fiorentina and Sassuolo shared the points in a goalless draw.
