Spain’s Bonmati Crowned FIFA Best Women’s Player In 2023

Aitana Bonmatí was indeed crowned the FIFA Best Women’s Player of 2023 at the prestigious ceremony held in London on Monday, January 15th, 2024.

Bonmati, the Spain and Barcelona midfielder was honoured with The Best FIFA Women’s Player award at the prestigious Best FIFA Football Awards 2023 ceremony held in London on Monday.

Sportxpartes believes this recognition comes after an outstanding year for Bonmati, where she played a pivotal role in Spain’s triumph at the World Cup and led Barcelona to victory in the Champions League.

Her exceptional performances throughout the year earned her several individual accolades, including the Ballon d’Or, the Golden Ball for the World Cup’s best player, and UEFA’s Player of the Year.

“A couple of weeks ago when 2023 came to an end I was nostalgic because 2023 was an exceptional and unique year I will remember for the rest of my life.

“I’m proud of being part of a powerful generation of women who are changing the rules of the game and the world,” Bonmati remarked after receiving the award.
